Dr. Jörn Grotjahn
Jörn Grotjahn is a lawyer and partner in the law firm Geiger Nitz + Partner Rechtsanwälte.
He studied history, political sciences and German studies in Göttingen and Oxford (Master of Studies, M.St.) as well as law at the Free University of Berlin. During his studies and traineeship, he worked as a research assistant for the German Bundestag.
He began his career as a lawyer at one of the leading legal firms specializing in medical law in Berlin, where he spent a number of years advising clients on social insurance and regulatory issues affecting the provision of medicines. His advisory work focuses on market access as well as pricing and reimbursement. In particular, he assists German and international clients during AMNOG negotiations regarding reimbursements for new medicines, during arbitration proceedings and in legal disputes.
He regularly speaks about the provision of medicines and AMNOG at specialist events. He is a commentator on the AMNOG negotiations in the Nomos Health Law Commentary (2nd edition 2017) and the author of numerous articles in pharmaceutical magazines.
He advices clients in German and English.
